ABOUT ROSEY

Singer, songwriter and rock n’ roll soul siren Rosey, proclaimed “The Lovechild of Robert Plant and Rickie Lee Jones” by Entertainment Weekly, first received international attention with her major label debut, ‘Dirty Child’ (Island/Def Jam). Rosey appeared regularly on the pages of Billboard Magazine & Rolling Stone as a pioneer in the Urban Rock scene. She performed her Funky Rock & Roll on The Tonight Show, was shot by Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair, toured alongside acts such as Morcheeba & Melissa Etheridge and made several appearances on her beloved KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic. Rosey’s music has been licensed to numerous TV shows & film soundtracks including Bridget Jone’s Diary, Shallow Hal with opening credits on Something New by Sanaa Hamri. Her voice & words have been featured along side the likes of Reggie Watts, Beat Ventriloquists, Hilary Duff, Govinda & Susto, many of whom she also co-wrote, recorded & engineered tracks with including, Kelis, Raphael Saadiq, David Ryan Harris & Phillip Bailey. Chances are good you’ve heard her voice in some popular TV jingles. After many years as a pop writer for Warner Chappell, Rosey wrote and produced her own Jazz record which she is currently re-releasing along with the rest of her vast and eclectic catalog on her new ©ROSEYMUSIC record label. The past few years have found her hiding out in the greater Atlanta area of Georgia, where she has immersed herself in culture, started an organic farm, a musical collective and opened her own professional recording studio, working with amazing artists of all genres, while also engineering and producing her own records. Her upcoming album, ‘I Heard You Been Singin’ is the result of deep inner exploration and illuminations shared with her Southern Soul Brothers & Sisters in a deep state of Funk! Look for ‘I Heard You Been Singin’ being birthed into the consciousness in 2018.

“If I was the king of the world, I tell what I’d see… People in chains all over the world & I’d set ‘em free!”

Lyrics from King of the World, the second single from Rosey’s upcoming album I Heard You Been Singin.’ Another classic tale of self-empowerment, written & produced by Rosey, reminding us to Go Deep! “Everyone’s so down on the people in power in America. The system is so broken and it’s breaking down all of us. We’re all looking outside of ourselves for someone to lead us into the new age. We have the power to make great change happen within ourselves and learn how to lead by our own design. It’s time to take our power back!” Rosey is a firm believer in the King, Queen & glorious Fool inside of every one of us.

LITTLE STAR
SINGLE & VIDEO RELEASE

After years of success in LA, signing with multiple record labels, including Island/Def Jam, co-writing hit singles for other artists, and putting out records, Rosey felt it was time to leave LA. “I needed to reinvent my own method of writing my music. I needed to reinvent how I made music, too, which led me to becoming a studio engineer and owner.” Since, Rosey has opened her own professional recording studio with engineer and record producer, Aaron Hill, in Atlanta leading her on another path to starting her own label, ©ROSEYMUSIC. Together, they have recorded a Rosey album that stays true to her genre-blending sound but brings forth a new organic, roots feel with Rock Psychedelia.

PRESS

"Combining urban beats and electronic accents with a swirling touch of blues, alt-rock, and lowdown sass, Rosey serves up aheady musical potion. Her voice is even more off the mainstream mark; comparisons to Fiona Apple are undeniable, but there's a greater depth and sense of self that put a firm grip on listeners' ears and twist them in circles a couple times until all distractions are abandoned"
-Billboard

"Rosey has knocked out talent scouts on both coasts, including vocalist Perry Farrell and producer Tom Kernal (Jewel), who raved "I have seen the future of rock & roll, and her name is Rosey!"
