Her upcoming album, ‘I Heard You Been Singin’ is the result of deep inner exploration and illuminations shared with her Southern Soul Brothers & Sisters in a deep state of Funk! Look for ‘I Heard You Been Singin’ being birthed into the consciousness in 2018.
SINGLE & VIDEO RELEASE
After years of success in LA signing with Island/Def Jam Records, co-writing hit singles for other artists, and putting out records, Rosey felt it was time to leave LA. “I needed to reinvent my own method of writing my music. I needed to reinvent how I made music, too, which led me to becoming a studio engineer and owner.” Since, Rosey has opened her own professional recording studio with engineer and record producer, Aaron Hill, in Atlanta leading her on another path to starting her own label, ©ROSEYMUSIC. Together, they have recorded a Rosey album that stays true to her genre-blending sound but brings forth a new organic, roots feel with Rock Psychedelia.
“Little Star” is the debut single from Rosey’s new album, “I Heard You Been Singin’”, due out late 2018. While Rosey’s new sound is more Rock & Roll than ever before, her new single still sparkles in pop. “It’s ironic for me to put out a pop song after all of this,” says Rosey, “but, after all, I was raised on pop-music, I made pop records and I’ve stayed eclectic through it all. This song really means a lot to me. I believe we are all power, beautiful stars and that’s why I wanted to release it first."
"Combining urban beats and electronic accents with a swirling touch of blues, alt-rock, and lowdown sass, Rosey serves up aheady musical potion. Her voice is even more off the mainstream mark; comparisons to Fiona Apple are undeniable, but there's a greater depth and sense of self that put a firm grip on listeners' ears and twist them in circles a couple times until all distractions are abandoned"
"Rosey has knocked out talent scouts on both coasts, including vocalist Perry Farrell and producer Tom Kernal (Jewel), who raved "I have seen the future of rock & roll, and her name is Rosey!"
